Errors on WordPress logout

Postby markp on Sun Jul 13, 2008 10:52 pm

Running WordPress 2.3.3 with WPIDS 0.1.2. When I log out of the blog, I get the following on the WP logout page:

"ERROR: The username field is empty.
ERROR: The password field is empty.
Successfully logged you out."

With WPIDS disabled, you just get the usual "Successfully logged you out." I trust this isn't a feature because this doesn't happen in a WordPress 2.5 blog I have. However, because of problems with the media loader in 2.5, we're keeping our 2.3.3 blog alive for the time being, so upgrading to 2.3.3 is off the table for the present.

WPIDS created its tables in the database successfully and is logging. The filter rules are up to date. I've kept the default settings. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah that's a known problem, somewhere within WP 2.3.x, but as much as I can tell it doesn't cause trouble at all(but should be fixed anyway). So what was the problem that WPIDS didn't worked?

As far as I can tell, WPIDS is working fine. The error messages are bound to cause a little confusion with users, but oh well. We'll just have to make do with a little user education until I can get the damn media loader working in WP 2.5 and we can upgrade. Thanks!
