Yeah I want to talk about some of the most annoying ‘features’ of our so beautiful Internet. And I hope that it’s not just a standard comment like you can find on every site. I want to write a few things which aren’t that discussed normally. If I’m wrong, you could suppose this blogentry also as spam entry .

You all know what spam is. If not: it’s the nice service of so many websites to send you free advertising about there great product which you need to be happy in life…
Spamming is a huge problem for the whole internet as it makes a big part of the daily internet traffic. How do the spammer get your email address? There are mostly 2 to 3 ways.
1)You registered at some suspicious site and you receive then advertise(can be conform with their privacy policy or against it)
2)Some spammer hacked or exploited some site and connected databases and got so email addresses or
3)he uses email crawler which search the web for email addresses.

How you can prevent yourself from spam. Use 2 Emails one for registering at suspicious pages and one for your secure contacts.
Now I want to try to give a possible way to fight these spamming. As except for the one case their privacy policy allows it they retrieve your spam in an illegal way, you can use this to fight it. As it’s clear how you can fight them when they hack some site or someone is ignoring his privacy policy. It’s harder to fight the crawler, at least in germany it’s not allowed to spam someone or even contact him with advertising purpose if you didn’t get the address from a friend of him. E.g. it’s not allowed to search through the phonebook and call every number to do advertising.
So here is the chance for the law to fight it.
In order to get it working: the ‘spammer’ has to show that he retrieved the email through a legal way( you did sign in to it or some privacy policy of a site, where you registered, allows it).
Maybe also an international organisation could be founded which fight it. As spamming is mostly in every industrialized country illegal, it could cooperate with the governments and fight it. The money for the organisation could be received by the spammers money.
